We love to celebrate our American Girl Dolls’ birthdays by dressing them in their birthday outfits and posting on Instagram. Sometimes we even go all out with a little doll birthday party too. American Girl Doll Birthday Celebrations and Books
For the first 25 years or so of the American Girl historical line, the dolls each had a six book series with the Spring Story being the birthday story. Because of this, many of the historical dolls have birthdays in the spring. Caroline (released in 2012) was the last historical doll to have a six book series and the first historical doll (best friends line excluded) to have a birthday that is not in the spring time. Kaya (released in 2002) was the first historical doll to have a six book series that had unique titles, she also did not have a birthday story included in her series. After Kaya, Julie, Rebecca, Cécile, and Caroline were released with six book series. Julie, Rebecca, and Cécile all had a spring time book that included their birthday story.
