Do you enjoy shopping at IKEA? My sister and I usually make an annual pilgrimage to our local IKEA to load up on some of our favorite budget friendly home items. We drop the kiddos off at the daycare (pre-COVID 😭) and slowly wander through the winding home displays enjoying some peaceful shopping sans children.
This year our American Girl doll, Isabelle joined us for the journey so we could spot some doll sized treasures. I think she had a pretty successful shopping trip!

Doll Items at IKEA for $1 or less!
IKEA is known for their budget friendly prices (and flat packed furniture with clever building instructions), so were able to spot several things for dolls for about a buck!
Stuffed Animals
These cute little stuffed animals were on sale for only 79 cents.
Doll Sized IKEA Blue Bag
Of course you don’t want to forget your reusable big blue bag when shopping at IKEA! The keychain is only 79 cents and perfect for American Girl Doll sized shoppers. We snipped the keychain off with some pliers.
Mesh Garbage Can
A little metal garbage can is perfect for doll offices, craft spaces, and schools.
Little Potted Plants for Dolls
IKEA usually has at least one tiny potted plant for American Girl dolls. In the past, I’ve also found a three pack of tiny plants, but didn’t see it on this trip. The plant Isabelle is carrying in the photo above is from the three pack.
Table Cloth
I love the farmhouse vibes of this tea towel. Dolls can use this for their own towel, or it would make a cute table cloth.
Doll Furniture, Decor, and Accessories at IKEA
I love the muted colors of this placemat, it’s a perfect sized rug for doll spaces. They also have several other placemat options for doll rugs.
IKEA has a nice and sturdy bed for American Girl dolls and it’s only $17.99!
I swoon at this cute little doll furniture set every time I go to IKEA. It’s made for Barbie sized dolls so I’m thinking it could work for the Caring for Baby dolls.
I just love the summery feel of these dish towels. They’d make great beach towels for American Girl dolls.
Dollhouse for American Girl Dolls
The customizable PAX wardrobe system makes a great base structure for American Girl dollhouses. At 22 inches deep, it’s a nice size for doll furniture and the adjustable shelving means you can make rooms with tall ceilings, or lay the shelf on it’s side for longer rooms.
